You can enjoy total portability with formula feeding. All it takes is a little advance planning. These tips will help make feeding a breeze when you’re on the go:

Take the timing of your baby’s feedings into account before you leave home. It’s ideal to head out right after a feeding, as you’ll have a couple of hours to do errands before your baby needs to be fed again.

Calculate how many feedings your baby will need if you’ll be out for an extended period. Prepare an appropriate number of bottles, keeping in mind that it’s always a smart idea to have a spare on hand. Prepared bottles should be kept refrigerated at 2-4° C (35 to 40°F).

Measure formula before you go.

If you’ll be mixing powdered formula on the road, look for premeasured packets. Enfamil A+® is available in convenient single serve packets. Just grab a packet … and go!

Consider using a ready-to-feed formula.

This may cost a bit more, but it requires no mixing or measuring, so the formula is available quickly and without fuss. It’s also a good choice if you’re not sure you’ll have easy access to clean water. Enfamil A+® Ready to Feed is available in 2 convenient sizes; 59mL Nursette® bottles (just add Enfamil nipple) or resealable 237 mL bottles.

Carry a waterproof diaper bag.

When you’re out and about, a waterproof diaper bag is a great way to carry formula and protect other items against damage from spills. Don’t forget to bring extra nipples in case one tears or gets dirty. It’s also a good idea to pack spare nipple caps and burp cloths.
